withholding the notion of how inherently american holden is, i kept in mind how iconic a symbol he is for american teenagers, alike, by way of color. that said, i strongly adhered to the notion of rebellion -- the classic american pieces are all here (blue jeans, pencey prep emblems, oxfords, etc.), but each one mutinizes its' timelessness in a way that only the lonely teenager walking around new york city would feel the need to tear off.
